Hi Tracy

I know that a lot of people on here will be interested in your conversation with the ASPC so thank you for posting about it.

I've clocked the bit about 20,000 applications prior to 1 Sept 2007. However, was the guy able to give you any idea at all about when you might expect to hear from a CO?

Best wishes

Gill

Hi Tracy

One of the Agents confirmed recently that there is a new, separate section within the ASPC dealing with skilled 175 visas only.

Now - they certainly didn't have 20,000 applications for those before 1 September 2007, did they?

I wonder whether the guy you spoke with was actually from the 175 visa unit? Especially since I have heard that these are being processed pretty quickly?

Was yours an on-line application?

Best wishes

Gill

Hi Tracy

Please don't get down at this as I know of so many who have said talking to the ASPC is like banging your head against a wall.

I know someone was told the same as you that they didn't have a CO and the next day they were granted their visa. They to are a online 175 who applied in Sept like me.

Are you using a agent?

Sept online are getting their visa's really quickly (sorry don't want to upset pre-sept 07's).

So hang in there you could just go straight to grant (fingers crossed)

Hi Tracy

I imagine you are feeling pretty down after that phone call. There is nothing like being made to feel s**t when you were just asking a simple question. Maybe you just got him on a bad day, still he should have been more helpful, busy or not. 13 years I worked in customer service and would never have treated someone like that on the phone. Would have got a right telling off!

Anyway, I hope you hear soon. Gill is right. My Agent advised end of last year that new subclasses had a whole new department with new COs which is why they are getting through them so quick. Just seems to be the July and August applicants being delayed.

Chin up

Claire

hi there

we also rang in the early hours but she was very helpful even having a laugh, as we sent our police checks via email on chistmas day (got new laptop so was playing):biglaugh:

we rang to ask if they got them and how things looked.

she said they had not got them and maybe because we sent them bmp fies so she said to send again useing jpeg files so doing that later, we asked as well if medicals were there and ok and she said yes they are fine.

we will send them later and hopfully will hear soon as all is fine just waiting on that so fingers crossed.

bit angry as have had not letter or e-mail asking for them or wondering where they are so if we had not rang would still be waiting.:arghh:

hope they dont take too long now.
